Sunset Boat Cruise

All the DSCC/MOVIC participants are invited to a sunset cruise on Thursday evening. The Jungle Queen riverboat will take you to a picturesque waterway of Fort Lauderdale, passing beautiful sights and celebrity homes. Eat, drink, and relax! Do not forget to bring a cruise ticket included in the registration packet.
Awards Ceremony and Banquet
Thursday, October 18, 2012, 8:00 pm – 10:30 pm, Grand Ballroom
Coming back from the sunset boat cruise the participants are invited to attend the annual DSCD Awards Ceremony, which will precede the conference banquet. Four DSCD awards for 2012 will be presented: Henry M. Paynter Outstanding Investigator Award, Michael J. Rabins Leadership Award, Charles Stark Draper Innovative Practice Awards, and Rudolf E. Kalman Best Journal Paper Award. The Nyquist Lecturer and semi-plenary speakers will be acknowledged. The Student Best Paper finalists will be introduced and the winner will be announced. The award ceremony will be concluded by the presentation of the ASME Rufus Oldenburger Medal, and the acceptance speech by the recipient of the Oldenburger Medal. The conference banquet will take place immediately after the Awards Ceremony. Be sure to bring your banquet ticket included in the registration packet.
